Elisava and Folch open the second Acid House creative centre in Spain in Madrid
The alliance between Elisava and the creative agency Folch has made it possible for the business ecosystem Acid House to open a second headquarters, for which it has chosen the city of Madrid. This new centre will focus on business design and the creative economy. Acid House Madrid will be located about 150 metres from the contemporary creation centre Matadero Madrid, in the Legazpi neighbourhood.
The aim of this new centre is to be a place for creation and education to promote entrepreneurial projects. Acid House Madrid combines education and business to train transversal profiles in creativity and design. The centre will have different spaces, such as an area for conferences, talks and workshops, and where courses and masters will be given; it will also have an art and design gallery, a library and a coworking area.
Acid House Madrid is designed by Arquitectura-G, like the Barcelona centre, winner of the 2015 Mies Van Der Rohe Emerging Architect Award and the FAD Architecture Award 2022. Acid House Madrid represents a commitment to leading new creative ecosystems and business models, at a time of technological dominance. With the opening of this centre, the aim is to offer an innovative training model that fuses the concepts of university, design, business and entertainment, which can bring a new approach to society. The centre is scheduled to open in 2024.
