Temes de Disseny is a scientific publication born from the research anxiety and vocation of Elisava. Since 1986 the school makes the journal available for the readers. The publication addresses from an analytical perspective a great variety of subjects related to design’s connection with fields such as culture, communication, technology or economy from an analytical perspective.
The 36th issue of Temes de Disseny (TdD) will focus on Design Futures Now: Literacies and Making, and aims to bring experts from different disciplines to share their knowledge. This issue of Temes de Disseny addresses a mix of topics concerning how design literacies and design making may be understood as ‘future facing’. By doing so, we convey the ways and means design practice and design education may be positioned and activated to work prospectively and be ahead of current concerns with environmental, social and ethical challenges.
This new issue will be published with open access, peer reviewed and indexed content. TdD is a journal that locals and foreign designers can use to share their knowledge internationally. We call for papers (original journal articles, state-of-art reviews, design case studies or pictorials) to gather knowledge regarding the following generic topics:

November 14th 2019. [Extended deadline] November 21st 2019. On November 28th, authors will be confirmed. They must submit their manuscript before January 16th, 2020.
