Round table by MUDIC on the limits and evolution of the interface concept

Hour: 19.00 h.
Place: ELISAVA (La Rambla, 30-32). Sala Aleix Carrió (1st floor)

MUDIC (Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Design and Communication of ELISAVA) presents the book ‘Las leyes de la interfaz. Diseño, ecología, evolución, tecnología’ (The laws of the interface. Design, ecology, evolution, technology), published by Gedisa Editorial and written by Carlos A. Scolari, teacher at the MUDIC and the Universitat PompeuFabra (Barcelona) specialized in the study of the new ecology of the media.

The lecture-presentation will be accompanied by a round table that aims to take the idea of interface far beyond the digital field to become a fundamental concept not only to understand but, above all, to transform the world around us. In this new context, the school, political parties or universities could be considered interfaces in crisis that demand an urgent redesign.

The round table, chaired by Ariel Guersenzvaig, MUDIC Director, will count on the participation of Carlos A. Scolari; Rosa Llop, designer, MUDIC teacher and director of the Master’s Degree in Design and Internet Web Project Direction; and Jonathan Chacón, teacher of MUDIC and Head of the Human Side of Technology Research Area of ELISAVA.

Carlos A. Scolari has published more than fifteen books, among them: HacerClic (2004), Hipermediaciones (2008), Narrativas Transmedia (2013) and Ecología de los Medios (2015). He has held conferences, workshops and seminars in more than 25 European, American and Asian countries. His blog is a reference in communication studies in Latin America.
