We will review the role of communication in the narrative of sexist violence. Taking the #Cuéntalo movement on social networks as an example, we will detail the importance of first-person narration, how it questions traditional media, how it puts the role of institutions in crisis and how it creates a new collective memory.

Cristina Fallarás Sánchez is a Spanish writer and journalist, defender of women's rights. Feminist and tertullian of several television programmes, from September 2016 to February 2017 she was director of Diario 16 digital. She has also been editor-in-chief of the Catalan edition of El Mundo and has worked at Cadena Ser, National Radio of Spain, El Periódico de Cataluña, Antena 3 TV and Telecinco. On the other hand, she participated in the design of the newspaper project ADN newspaper, belonging to Grupo Planeta, of which she was co-founder and deputy director.
