Javier Peña and the language of the chemical elements at Setmana de la Ciència de Terrassa

Hour: 9.30 a.m.
Place: Museu de la Ciència i la Tècnica de Catalunya (Rambla d’Ègara, 270, Terrassa)

Dr. Javier Peña, General Director of Elisava, participates at the 24th edition of the Setmana de la Ciència, held at Terrassa from 8 to 17 November. Specifically, the lecture will be 'Elements químics. Llenguatge integrador', along with Bernat Faura.

This lecture is part of the 'Literature and language of chemical elements' Day, on Saturday, November 16th at the Auditorium of the Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (mNACTEC, for its Catalan acronym).

Javier Peña is the author and editor of several books about materials, and for years he has defended the importance of understanding their nature and behaviour. That is why he is committed to teaching his language from elementary school and, in this regard, has recently published the book 'Elements. El imperio de Coltán’, the second part of a youth trilogy that combines fiction and science to focus, in this case, on the impact of the use of materials on climate change.

The attendance at the lecture is free of charge, but places are limited.
