2020 has been an…interesting year so far to say the least. The world was faced with a sudden change, and had to quickly adapt to it. However, the students of the Master's Degree in Graphic Design and the Master's Degree in Editorial Design found the silver lining in all of this: an opportunity to change, an opportunity to pave a new road, an opportunity to transform.
They are transforming their thinking, they are transforming their methods, they are transforming as designers, and they are transforming the world with them as well. They are also transforming from an usual face-to-face degree show into a brand new digital version.
After countless videocalls in their pyjamas with a coffee in one hand and some snacks in the other (and shitty internet connectivity as well), they created a Digital Degree Show that is centered on two things; People and Projects.
The students basically want to transmit the idea of diversity, and show their interests, motivations and points of views, and how they evolved through time. The students have succeeded in adapting to the current situation, and embarked on the journey of transforming themselves, and they wanted to transform the world around them as well. The worlds that they wanted to transform range from Social Commentary, History, Community, Expression, Technology, Culture, Consumption, Sustainability, to Movement, in the form of 45 projects designed by the Graphic Design & Editorial Design masters students.
