Like every year before Christmas, the Creative Marathon of ELISAVA arrives, an event consisting of a series of interdisciplinary workshops, of about 20 participants each, in which students of 3rd and 4th courses of the Degree in Design and the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design of the School are invited to participate jointly as part of the subject "Academic Uses of Specific Terminology in English".
This laboratory will host research and studies in different fields of design, from the creation of new objects from plastic waste and used materials, to 3D prints or augmented reality applications, among other topics.
The workshops will be carried out through an educational programme that favors a multidisciplinary view of the sector. Their workshops, furthermore, coordinated by a team of international external tutors, are intended to offer students a fresh and immediate experience, different from their regular activity during the academic year, to become a space for the Active and dynamic creation: a challenge that will have to be resolved in 3 days.
The work sessions will begin on Monday, 16th December, with open talks and projects from each one of the workshops, will be extended during the days 17 and 18 of December, and will culminate with the exhibition of the results on Thursday 19th at noon.
