Hour: From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Place: Free online activity within the framework of the Barcelona Design Week 2020
'Revivir: Tejiendo terreno', by Laura Badia (Elisava).

Crafts Now 2020 is here! An online day of reflection and debate on innovation in the craft sector aimed at professionals and students of the sector and focused this year on projects with social commitment. The event, which will take place as part of Barcelona Design Week, aims to establish a space for dialogue around research and innovation from the point of view of creativity, transversality and business.

In this way, it will analyze different issues with different professionals; among them, how knowledge sharing encourages the evolution of craftsmanship; or how innovation allows us to find local solutions to global problems.

Crafts Now, presented and conducted by Oscar Tomico (Head of Studies of the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering of Elisava), will also present cases of professional creators and young artisans who innovate in their creations from different aspects. This is the case of Mattia Bernini, a member of Precious Plastic; the artist Micaella Pedros and her project Joining Bottles; and Laura Badia, a student of Elisava who has developed the project Revivir: Tejiendo terreno.

10:00 h - Welcome by the presenter, Oscar Tomico, and institutional greeting.
10:30 h - Presentation of the project Revivir: Tejiendo terreno by Laura Badia (Elisava).
10:50 h - Conference by Mattia Bernini, representative of Precious Plastic.
