One more year, Elisava participates with numerous activities in the Barcelona Design Week (BDW), which this year changes its format to adapt to the new reality.
For this, the BDW will be held in two dates:
- From June 7 to 17: BDW Pro, ten days of mainly professional online and hybrid activities.
- From October 7 to 30: the BDW City Festival will bring together face-to-face activities aimed at the general public.
The motto of the 2021 edition is "Think, Design, Act". Or what is the same: think design, design and implement new solutions, models and environments that are more sustainable, economically viable and focused on the real needs of people. In other words, making design even more visible as a key ally for any sector and putting people at the center. These are some of our activities within the framework of BDW Pro:
Best Design of the Year Exhibition
Unmissable exhibition to know the current state of the design, architecture and art sector. Organized by the FAD in collaboration with the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, the exhibition gathers all the winning and finalist works of the different prizes awarded by the FAD associations, including the graphic project of the Elisava Master 's Talks lecture series.

EDIVI - Presentation of the project Decidim
The EDIVI network proposes a virtual debate on the new opportunities that arise as a society as a result of the pandemic. Design schools are coming up with projects that propose new design opportunities that reject a return to a "new normal" in order to build a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient post-covid society. Among them, Elisava proposes the project New spaces for politics: TORNEM al Canòdrom, which aims to give a second life to the Canòdrom building in Meridiana by reinventing it as an Athenaeum of Digital and Democratic Innovation.
ADI Making Of... Materiality
