On Wednesday, October 22, Jornada Campus Clínic Innova 2025 took place, where the Clínic Innova Awards of Barcelona Clínic Hospital were given, with the support of IDIBAPS, ISGlobal and Món Clínic. It was a meeting space for professionals of medical assistance, research, and management to share talent and innovative ideas.

The Bimmia project, of the student Lucía Parra of the Bachelor in Industrial Design Engineering, which received an ei! Award on October 10, has won now an award in the “Accelerem idees” category of this event. Within the program “Idees cap a Mercat” there were two distinct categories according to the degree of maturity of the proposals: “Incubem idees”, for projects in the early stages of development, and “Accelerem idees”, for more advanced projects. In the latter category, they received eight proposals and the three winning projects, Bimmia, Roboreto, and Fetal Brain Care, will receive €30,000 and will also be part of the support program of 12 months.

Bimmia is the first medical device for biomechanical stimulation in preterm infants, replicating the intra-uterine environment and developed with NICU professionals. It supports infants’ physical development by addressing the lack of natural movement caused by premature birth, a key factor in later motor and bone complications.
