On Wednesday, June 12th, the ADG FAD Laus Awards for Graphic Design and Visual Communication 2024 ceremony took place. Several former Elisava students were honored with prestigious awards at this gala, showcasing their exceptional skill and creativity in the design field once again.
Several Elisava alumni among the winners of the 2024 Laus Awards
A standout moment was the recognition of Studio Albert Romagosa, founded by alumni and professor Albert Romagosa, which clinched two coveted gold awards in Editorial and Art Direction categories. Their outstanding work on projects like “50 anys d’una editora de mobles” for Mobles 114 and “Tallers Oberts BCN” for A-FAD (Association of Artists and Artisans of FAD) was celebrated for its impeccable execution.
Among students, Reinaldo Camejo was awarded gold for “Grundtvig Typeface”, Vinyet Tejedor for “Between Hearing and Identity,” and Marina Denia Ferrer alongside Mercedes Dinis Alves for their project “Fogar.” Additionally, Lena Arshakyan and Chiara Chiavazza with “Healthy Mind, Wealthy Body,” as well as Miguel Cáceres Alonso and Delia González Sánchez with “Codes Journal,” also received top honors, highlighting Elisava’s emerging talents.
The professors and co-founders of Bendita Gloria, also received silver for their projects “Boris” and “Strofa chiara, strofa scura.” Likewise, Lo Siento Studio, the studio created by alumni Borja Martínez, earned silver for its exceptional work in branding “Bodega Solera” and packaging “Claudia de Paolo”. Laura Meseguer, typography professor, was also recognized with silver for her outstanding design of the corporate typeface for the accessories brand MR.BOHO.
The accolades continued with P.A.R Studio, formed by Elisava alumni and professors Iris Tarraga Orea and Lucía Castro Triay, who won an award for their design of the “Green City” catalog for Escofet 1886. Carlos Álvarez Jiménez, another alumni, received silver for his thesis project titled “Ultra Materiam.” Finally, Daniela Cuervo and Dominga Cruzat Mena from the Master’s in Editorial Design were honored for their design in the publication “Féminas.”
ELISAVA was also honored with two Laus silver awards for its website, which was developed in collaboration with Metódica Studio and the Elisava communication team. Congratulations to all the winners for their dedication and passion for design!
