The start-up ATOM H2, founded by Elisava Alumni Anna Martín, Marcel Rovira, and Mariona Figueras, and promoted by Elisava Impuls, Elisava’s entrepreneurship plan, has been awarded at the EmprendeXXI Awards, as part of the Mobile World Congress. ATOM H2, awarded for its relevance as the innovative company with the highest potential and impact in Catalunya, has been distinguished among 185 candidates and received 6,000 euros.
ATOM H2 is a start-up that wants to replace emergency diesel generators used in critical infrastructures with a hybrid system that combines solar energy, batteries, and solid hydrogen use. Unlike current options, this system does not generate pollutant emissions and reduces maintenance costs.
The award ceremony was celebrated on March 3 at 4YFN, the Mobile World Congress venue dedicated to entrepreneurship, with the representation of relevant figures from CaixaBank’s Territorial Direction, Enisa, Barcelona Activa, ACCIÓ, and Tech Barcelona, among others. The jury was composed of professionals of the sector, such as Lorenzo Di Pietro, Barcelona Activa general director; Mercè Conesa, Barcelona Global general director; or Quino Fernández, Barcelona Finance Hub director.
