The brand Vino Afortunado has presented during the Christmas holidays the label of its magnum bottle SpecialEdition of the vintage year 2016, designed by the alumni of Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design of ELISAVA Mar Moreno (Mar Marramiau as her pen name).

Her creation, in words of the heads of the brand, sums up the tropical and fruity spirit of this verdejo of the Viñedos Singulares’ family.

For that matter, the illustration, according to the jury’s criteria, makes you remember the summer and that moment of disconnection and relax in which you enjoy a glass of wine.

Long selection process

The new label has been presented at the end of December, in an act at Magatzem Escolà that ends a process initiated months before, when Vino Afortunado organized at ELISAVA a workshop with students of the School and the illustrator Lara Costafreda.

From there, a first selection of 8 works was made, work of School’s students Julia Claveria, Guillem Marquès, Sandra Medina, Mar Moreno (Mar Marramiau), Margarita Torrens, Sandra Lara, Maria Bennani and Georgina Romeo.

After this first phase, a dinner took place in which gastronomy and art were combined to create 8 pieces that were presented in October in an exhibition at WynWood Point. Finally, in December 20th the chosen design by the brand was made public. The brand is always looking forward to emerging talent, and the label is already on the special edition, available in the usual distribution points.

Congratulations Mar!
