Ivan Pajares and Koldobika Goikoetxea, students of the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design, and Jordi Ros, former student of the Degree in Design, have received an honorary mention in the contest Recreate Packaging 2014 for the Get & Go proposal.
Recreate Packaging 2014 is organized by Stora ENSO, a packaging company that works with fibre-based materials and that offers solutions both at a customer and at an industrial level. The contest consists in recreating travel packaging using renewable materials, in order to make travelling easier and more responsible. The participants had to think of the 3 beauty and healthcare products that they considered most important to have while travelling and to design their packaging.
The ELISAVA students’ proposal, Get & Go, works as a customizable single use travel kit. The target population consists of the young professionals that travel very often and that do short stays and the users that regularly enjoy weekend breaks.
The packaging design is simple but it offers a very resistant structure that protects the content of the kit. Get & Go can be purchased in four different categories and the user can set up his kit online so as it can be delivered at his home or at the place he visits. The jury of the contest has given this recognition to the proposal for its attractive design and its excellent point-of-sale thinking.
The School congratulates the students and encourages them to keep creating.
