Elisava Alumni talks about eco-entrepreneurship, social impact and ethic projects

Last Wednesday 26th March took place the #5 Professional Day «Ethics» organized by Elisava Alumni at the Sala Noble of the Sant Agustí Convent.

The event was attended by Susana Balet, of Stone SoupConsulting, Oriol Pascual, eco-entrepreneur and Toni Tió, co-creator of CiviClub.

The lecturers explained some of the parameters for evaluating the social impact of a product or a service mentioning concrete examples and talked about how individual needs can be balanced with the general community needs. They also presented which is the role of the designer when promoting ethic actions by the users. In essence, they transmitted the idea that all the projects can take into account the social, environmental and economic impact aspects for a common good, without ignoring the business vision.

Specifically, Susana Balet talked about the evaluation and measure procedures for determining the social impact and Oriol Pascual explained what eco-entrepreneurship entails and the attitude that it requires. Lastly, Toni Tió presented CiviClub, the social-base company that rewards the citizens that have an ethic attitude giving them points that can be exchanged for different items.

The attendees of the event participated very actively in the session, asked questions and provided their points of view. You can watch the images of the event at the ELISAVA Flickr.

Elisava Alumni is already planning the following meeting between professionals and Alumni, that will take place the next 30th April.
