Tam Hoi-Ying, alumni of the Master’s Degree in Photography and Design of ELISAVA, has won the D&AD Next Photographer Award 2016 with his Final Master Project, ‘Being Disappeared’. Congratulations!
‘Being Disappeared’ is a series of images that exemplify the paradox of the law that protects, but that at the same time suppresses the freedom of the people, while they question the fragility of the Chinese regime.
Tam Hoi-Ying, Chinese photographer from Hong Kong and alumni of ELISAVA, has felt the obligation of making China aware of the conditions of the human rights in that country. To that effect, he has put together a series of images in order to raise awareness and to report the mentioned paradox about the law and the Chinese regime.
