You were born in
You live in
Your graduation year
I did my Master in Retail Design during the 2013-2014 academic course.
You work at
My own limited company as a freelance senior retail designer, having worked for multiple brands and retail agencies, such as The One Off, John Lewis and The Rug Company, among others.
You’re inspired by
Anything visual. From a piece of art to the colours of a rug.
Your idols are
Those people whom their work, personality and character are extremely admirable as well as a profound and huge source of inspiration for me: Paul Smith, Patricia Urquiola or the team behind COS are just a few of them.
Your best memory of Elisava
The thorough program of lecturers and collaborators coming from different backgrounds and skills. Each capsule captured a different aspect of Retail from a different angle providing with a holistic approach and understanding. Simply perfect.
One good thing you learnt at Elisava
To carefully think about every step of the project, not only the concept design but earlier stages. A good initial analysis makes a huge difference to the success of a project. To focus our efforts early on in trying to immerse ourselves in the customer’s brand, working closely with the client so that we can come up with a design that reflects them and get their goals.
A good advice
Work hard, learn from any opportunity, get inspired through other fields such as art, film, travel or fashion. Stay curious and hungry for knowledge. And be humble, listen to other's opinion and always trust yourself.
About your professional experience in a few words
Having had the chance to work in both Barcelona and London has widen my understanding of retail, getting a new perspective and ultimately making me grow professionally.
