Alumni - Chronicle of the Houzz workshop at ELISAVA

«80% of people who hires professionals take into account their projects’ reviews», state Lucía Olona, who gave a workshop about Houzz for Elisava Alumni last January 20. Houzz, that was born 5 years ago at Silicon Valley, is a free tool used by interior designers in order to give visibility to their projects, and to collaborate and connect with their workmates and clients.

During this workshop, Lucía showed Houzz’ main possibilities as well as the tricks to get a 5 star profile in order to achieve these much desired good reviews.

Thanks to these formative session, participants were able to delve into this platform’s secrets. Houzz allows professionals to have an online collaboration with clients from the beginning of a project, or to efficiently manage their presence at the web.

There are some recommendations for all of you wishing to have this platform’s profile: use a personal photo as your profile photo, use the most impressive picture of your activities, upload as many pictures as you can to your Houzz profile, and mention the authors of these photos.

If your are an Alumni of ELISAVA, follow as at our Elisava Alumni networks and be aware of the next activities we are preparing, because they might be of your interest. Next activity is planned for February 18. It will consist of a visit -exclusive for Alumni Bold- to the studio of David Ruiz, who is a designer and an Alumni of ELISAVA’s Degree in Design. This well-known advertising agent and graphic designer will give the lecture entitled “Si no emocionas, estás muerto” (‘If you don’t move, you are dead’).
