The digital manufacturing and 3D design company ADDIT·ION, promoted by Alumni Saulo Armas and Ignasi Sagré, has developed in collaboration with the Swiss group NIDECKER innovative 3D printed snowboarding bindings. The bindings are designed using the latest artificial intelligence technologies to optimize the structure and geometry according to the most demanding mechanical and sports requirements.
They are the lightest bindings that guarantee their optimal functionality without compromising structural integrity up to now. They have been able to create thanks to the high specialization and knowledge in digital manufacturing and 3D printing of ADDIT·ION, along with the expertise of NIDECKER designers and engineers, which is the second largest group in the world of snowboarding products. The product is integrated into the catalogue of NOW, one of the brands included in NIDECKER.
The bindings were presented in the latest edition of the reference fair of the sports sector ISPO Munich 2020, where it had a great impact and captivated many high-level athletes, passionate about snowboarding and the latest innovations in sports equipment.
Founded in 2018, ADDIT·ION is a company specialized in the latest technologies and techniques of digital manufacturing, engineering and 3D design, such as parametric design, generative design using artificial intelligence, 3D scanning, and 3D printing. ADDIT·ION is one of the first projects incubated at the Elisava Alumni Incubator, located in the Almogàvers coworking in Barcelona Activa.
