Five projects developed by Elisava Alumni from undergraduate and master’s programs have been recognized in the Next Gen Design Awards 2025, a European initiative that promotes green, sustainable, and inclusive design as part of the European Green Deal. Under the theme “Redesign Tomorrow, Today,” this year’s edition received over 200 applications from 29 countries. Only 53 projects were selected as winners — and five of them were created by designers trained at Elisava.

The Next Gen Design Awards are part of a three-year European program that combines research, design competitions, and events to encourage the next generation of designers to create, adopt, and share sustainable solutions. The initiative is led by five major design platforms and festivals: Skopje Design Week, Mikser Festival (Belgrade), designaustria (Vienna), What Design Can Do (Amsterdam), and the Barcelona Design Center.
At Elisava Alumni, we proudly celebrate the continued recognition of our community’s talent — not only for its creativity but also for its commitment to designing a more sustainable and impactful future.
Congratulations to all the winners!
