Pablo Navarlaz Fernández and Sofia Sustersic Ferrer, both alumni of Elisava, have been recognized at the 8th edition of the gaudeamusPROJECTA Awards, promoted by the Col·legi Oficial de Disseny Gràfic de Catalunya, which honor the best graphic design final degree projects across Spain.

Frecuencias Divergentes, by Pablo Navarlaz Fernández and supervised by Oriol Miró, was one of this year’s winners. The project is a type of design proposal specifically created for people with low vision. Its main goal is to enhance reading accessibility through a parametric typeface that adjusts to each user’s visual needs. A functional, innovative, and deeply empathetic design that paves the way for more inclusive reading experiences.
Meanwhile, alumni Sofia Sustersic Ferrer received the Innova Award for her project Fluid Matter, a highly conceptual proposal that explores the relationship between the individual and the environment they inhabit. Starting from the idea that everything is in constant transformation, Sustersic offers a critical reflection on how our actions—from the most mundane to the most structural—shape our surroundings, just as the environment shapes us. A project that blends graphic design, ecological thinking, and a sensitive outlook toward the future.
