Carlos Maran directs Agatha Ruiz de la Prada’s latest show at MBFW Madrid

Elisava Alumni Carlos Maran, fashion editor at Ediciones Herdes, director of Blend Showroom, artistic director at Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, and professor at Elisava, was responsible for the brand’s most recent show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

The collection, true to the designer’s signature DNA of color and joy, introduced generative patterns and design solutions created through algorithms, marking a turning point in her creative journey.

The show also featured the participation of the Elisava Master’s in Creative Direction and Communication team, who developed the graphics projected on stage as a backdrop. In addition, alumni from the Master’s in Set Design for theatre, film, and TV created a puppet representing Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, with the models interacting on the runway, adding a performative and playful dimension to the staging.

With this proposal, the world of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada is renewed by blending tradition, experimentation, and the fresh perspective of new generations of creatives trained at Elisava.
