Adeline Rush takes part in Lumínic Festival with “Oh, To Swim”

29 May 26 — 12 Jun 26
Location Bodega Modernista de Sant Cugat
Elisava

Elisava Alumni Adeline Rush, graduate of the Master’s in Photography and Design at Elisava, takes part in the latest edition of Lumínic Festival with her project Oh, To Swim, a photographic proposal exploring identity, tradition, and cultural transformation in the Agadir region of Morocco.

Blending documentary and staged photography, the project follows the lives of Yassmine, Nassima, and Fatima, three young Moroccan and Amazigh women living and working in surf towns shaped by tourism growth and ongoing social change.

Built through listening and personal encounters, Oh, To Swim draws from interviews and close relationships to develop an intimate perspective on how these women navigate their contemporary realities between tradition, independence, and cultural transformation.

Adeline Rush’s participation in Lumínic Festival highlights a sensitive photographic practice capable of creating new narratives around identity and territory through imagery.

The project will be on view at the Bodega Modernista in Sant Cugat from May 29 to July 12 as part of the Lumínic Festival program.
