The second part of Barcelona Design Week 2021 hosts several activities by Elisava

The second date of the Barcelona Design Week 2021 (BDW) hosts numerous activities that will take place between the 7th and 30th of October in different parts of the city. After the first part of the BDW being online and aimed at professionals, the second part hosts in-person activities and is open to the general public following the motto of the 2021 edition “Think, Design, Act”, that is, think design, implement innovative solutions, models and more sustainable environments, putting people at the center. These are some of the activities within the framework of the BDW:

Ideas for Humanity: A Cookbook for Planetary Health

The exhibition has been developed by 70 students from three different universities (including Elisava) and features “recipes” with tips, exercises, stories, collective actions and many more ideas to help make decisions to improve our planet’s life as well as our own.

World Food Design Day 21 #WFDD21

The non-profit organization FORK proposes a pioneering idea to demonstrate how creativity and design can contribute to generate new consumption and production habits.

Kave talks: The role of craftsman in the furniture industry

Jordi Diaz, Product Manager of Kave Home, together with Elisava, will talk about the importance of craftsmanship in the furniture industry, with the idea of recovering the most traditional profiles and revindicate the power of local craftsmanship.

Round Table Design Today: Perception and ecology of materials

DIY bioplastics workshop with Berta Daina (Elisava Alumni)

A workshop where we will teach how to create biomaterials and how to make bioplastics to discover all the possibilities and benefits that this material offers.
