Elisava will be present at the next edition of NUDE Exhibition at the Feria Hábitat in Valencia from September 29 to October 2. The event will feature a representative sample of various projects carried out by students of the Elisava’s Master in Furniture Design.
The projects aim to be a renewed view from a perspective that respects the reality of the sector, but willing to introduce new concepts and values in a contemporary context. They also pose several challenges, from the comprehensive design of an object for self-publishing to the conceptualization of a brand and associated products for a newly created furniture publisher.
Self-production projects raise the bar for achieving finished and functional products that respond to a specific brief. We understand that self-publishing is a resource for entering the professional world and managing external relationships with suppliers, exploring the limits of production based on limited resources.
The definition of the narrative in the product and the strategic approach oriented towards a manufacturer are also addressed during the course. Punch is a collective proposal, a project for a new brand for Punt Mobles that addresses the specific needs of a differentiated user.
Other projects, such as the chair, designed to solve a specific situation, proposals based on specific materials and processes, or challenges such as transport optimization, are examples of statements that propose realistic approaches.
The Master is a space for exchange and reflection, a place to redefine interests with the help of professional tutors and students from diverse backgrounds and profiles who enrich the collective experience.
