The second edition of Brut!, formerly known as Campus Blanc!, brings together one more year the best final projects from the main design schools.

In this year’s edition, about twenty students of graphic design and other associated disciplines will show us fresh, pure and creative projects. Among them we find this time three Elisava students who have just graduated and who will present their work in graphic design and typography. They are the following:

‘iRead’, by Lucas Martín (10:30 a.m.)

Creating a reading habit in the digital society. This project aims to improve reading comprehension and concentration by encouraging a reading habit, addressing digital addiction, the only addiction widely accepted by society. To address this problem, iRead proposes a method structured in 21 days, designed to progressively increase the difficulty, helping the reader to be able to develop a reading habit in the digital society. ‘Et mereixes ser oblidada’, by Laia Sánchez (1:00 p.m.)

Our obsession to remember, or rather, our refusal and fear of forgetting, keeps us from the present moment. To remember, it is necessary to forget. We cannot have one without the other, no matter how painful it may be. This project seeks to honor this fact with a design proposal that aims to be forgotten, supporting the belief that what is not remembered is also valuable and deserves our thought. More information

‘Frecuencias Divergentes’, by Pablo Navarlaz (4:30 p.m.)

This project addresses visual impairment in reading by redefining legibility beyond the norm. The result is Ivy Flex, a parametric typeface that adapts to various visual conditions. With five adjustable variables-weight, width, contrast, m-formula and x-height-Ivy Flex allows for precise adjustments, creating customized adaptations for each user and context. More information

Campus Blanc! began as a section within Blanc! where design students presented their final projects. Over time, this section underwent a process of development and expansion until it became an independent event of the festival. Thus, Campus Blanc! became Brut! an event with its own identity.
