Talk by Jay Osgerby, co-founder of the studio Barber & Osgerby, organised by Vitra

The British industrial designer Jay Osgerby will chat with the teacher of the Undergraduate Degree in Design and Innovation Jordi Canudas in a talk organised by Vitra. In it, he will talk about industrial design from a contemporary perspective, approaching today’s challenges and sharing his experience in the creation of products that combine functionality and aesthetics.

Jay Osgerby, born in 1969, founded with Edward Barber the studio Barber & Osgerby in East London in 1996, when he finished his architecture studies at the Royal College of Art. Since then, his work has challenged the limits of design, while his commitment to talks, workshops, and studio practices supports the development of new generations of designers.

The design of Barber & Osgerby is characterised by its emphasis on experimentation and innovation, and its experimental attitude towards materials and colour. Its work includes architecture, interior design, sculpture, product design, and exhibitions.
