After its stay in the Swiss cities of Sankt Gallen, Bellizona and Mendrisio, the itinerant exhibition The Most Beautiful Swiss Books comes to Elisava, a contest of the Federal Office of Culture that rewards the quality of book design in Switzerland and brings it closer to the public. Its main characters are the denominated “Swiss books”, products designed by Swiss designers, or that have been published by a publishing house or printing house that has its headquarters in Switzerland. A jury decides which of the participant books are the winners, and the ones chosen are internationally exhibited.
With the arrival of The Most Beautiful Swiss Books to Elisava, students from the Master in Furniture Design and the Master in Editorial Design have designed, jointly with Marc Morro and Santi Fuster (Bendita Gloria), the supports and the exhibition space that welcome the books under the slogan “Not necessarily beautiful and certainly not Swiss bookstands for the most beautiful Swiss books.” The exhibition will be open to the public at Sala Agora until the 20th of December.
