Several projects by Elisava Alumnis and professors will be exhibited in different places in Milan as part of the Milan Design Week 2026. In the context of Fuorisalone, which has ‘Be the project’ as its lemma, it rethinks design as a living process, where people are active change agents.

The selected projects are the following:

‘Cheers to Youth’ and ‘Roomies’ participate in the ‘INTERDEPENDENCE’ Exhibition

The projects Roomies, by Adrià Pascual Pujó, and Cheers to Youth,  by Mako Gutiérrez Kitajim, students from the Bachelor in Design and Innovation, participate in this year’s INTERDEPENDENCE: Past, Present, Future exhibition, an international exhibition organized by Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan–Fuorisalone 2026.

Roomies

This project presents an interactive experience in the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital for teenagers with rare diseases. Hospitalization interrupts social development and disconnects, affecting identity and emotional well-being.

Cheers to Youth

This study is focused on the K-POP community phenomenon, adding another layer of cultural cohesion. This toolkit is made out of three artifacts that come from a research around three main topics of the project: fan behavior, participatory culture, and memorabilia.

‘A dream House’ by Saúl Baeza and Manuela Valtchanova

A Dream House is a collective play-based installation for We Will Design 2026 in which participants build a digital home in The Sims to use their imagination to question the invisible spaces of power. In today’s battle for perception, the video game becomes an intrusive tactic in the war of images. Manuela Valtchanova and Saúl Baeza are professors in the Bachelor in Design and Innovation, and Saúl also teaches in the Master in Design for Emerging Futures.

This project is part of Temporary Home, during Milan Design Week, from April 20 to 26, when five rooms at casaBASE will be transformed into a space for observation and debate: a living laboratory in constant evolution. Five designers from around the world will bring these rooms to life with their projects, giving you the opportunity to discover them and interact with them. It will be a special occasion to listen to, see, taste, smell, and touch design in its many forms.

Gracias Grecia and their exhibition ‘Nello spazio di un secolo’

Gracias Grecia, professors of the Master in Design for Exhibition Environments, designs the exhibition Nello spazio di un secolo, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of Rai Pubblicità and you will be able to visit it at the Milan Triennale until June 7.

The exhibition traces the history of the company, founded in 1926 during the early days of radio in Italy, through archival materials, audiovisual pieces, and immersive installations that chart the evolution of advertising communication in dialogue with the country’s social and cultural changes.

The tour culminates in an interactive room where visitors are invited to collectively imagine what communication of the future should look like, prompting reflection on the industry’s challenges and scenarios.

2470grams – Dos Mil Quatre-Cents Setanta Grams

In addition, several alumni will be present at the exhibition Dos Mil Quatre-Cents Setanta Grams, exhibited from April 20 to 25, 2026. It is a collective exhibition that gathers 12 furniture and lighting pieces made by 18 young Catalan designers under the same topic: each object weighs 2,470 grams. Curated by five young professionals of the sector, the exhibition offers a collective view of the new generation of Catalan industrial design.
