Presentation of student projects from the Undergraduate Degree in Design and the Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Elisava, Barcelona School of Design and Engineering in collaboration with the Swiss company USM Modular Furniture, which for more than 50 years has been developing modular solutions for the home and workspaces. The firm is today a worldwide design icon, and it is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA).
For a year, the students have worked in collaboration with the USM team to do their Final Degree Projects, studying different applications of the USM system, with the aim of creating new furniture solutions focused on the challenges of the future. The result is original, free, creative and non-industrialized ideas that reinterpret this design classic.
