Engineering Day is born, a day dedicated to the specializations from the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering. The first of them focuses on the Design and Materials specialization. The event pretends to introduce the academic characteristics of this specialization, so students can decide in which professional path of industrial design engineering they want to specialize for the future. In it, they will be able to share their concerns with professional experts and Elisava Alumni, who will exhibit their experiences in strategic design from materials, sustainability in the industry, biomimetics, regenerative design, wearables, waste-materials, etc.
The specialization in Design and Materials aims to form a profile of transdisciplinary engineering professionals, able to integrate knowledge from different areas in the design process, such as science and material engineering, connecting them to the natural world by environmental respect criteria, going further the concept of sustainability and achieving a positive impact in the environment. This specialization allows to consolidate the research, experimentation, reflection, social regenerative vision, and environmental capacities, in addition to strengthening the conceptualization by scientific experimentation. It takes into account the materials transformation process, and also their selection, in the decision-making, to consolidate industrial design engineering from a professional view.
During Engineering Day, the speakers will comment on their professional path and will talk about their projects of reference related to the design and materials world. Afterwards, an open conversation will take place, in which the students will be able to take part and express their doubts.
