After the celebration of the Engineering Day, the first Design Day has arrived, a day dedicated to the specialisations of Elisava’s Undergraduate Degree in Design and Innovation. The first conference, that will take place on February 15, will focus on the specialisation of Product Design. The event aims to make known the academic characteristics of the specialisation so students can decide in which professional path of design they want to specialize for the future. In it, they will be able to share their concerns with professional experts from the invited company Kettal, Elisava Alumni, and teachers of the university.
The mention in Product Design aims to make known the contexts of the use of different products to detect the improvement needs in their designs. In this specialisation, students work on projects of furniture, interactive and utilitarian product design while they get to know different manufacturing processes such as handcrafted, industrial and digital manufacturing, taking into account their environmental impact.
During Design Day, speakers will comment on their professional path and experiences, and will talk about their projects of reference related to the design and products world. Afterwards, an open conversation will take place, in which the students will be able to take part and express their doubts.
