After visiting cities such as Alghero or Tenerife, the event 2CO arrives in Barcelona and will be celebrated at Elisava. The conference is organised by COmmunicating COmplexity,an international network aimed at exploring languages, approaches, and technologies to respond to the emerging need for making complex information accessible through design.
The initiative was launched by a consortium of European Universities that in 2011 started to collaborate in the InformAnimation project, and by fellow Universities active in visual design teaching and research. COmmunicating COmplexity, through new media, aims at becoming an international reference point for research and education in communicating complexity.
The conference will take place on the 4th and the 5th of July and will count with hosts such as Jose Duarte, designed and founder of easydataviz, or Pau Garcia, one of the founders of Domestic Data Streamers.
Also, the event looks for students and professionals who contribute and provide approaches that ongoing exploration experiences, completed projects, and case studies in design-based-research, methodologies, and practitioner fields. The call of papers counts with two types of contributions: Full track, dedicated to formal presentations and aimed at scholars and active professionals, and Junior track, designed for postgraduate students, PhD candidates, or junior scholars, amongst others.
The deadline to apply is on April 15. You will find more information about the submissions here.
