The sixth edition of the Madrid Design Festival will recognize the excellence and relevance of the role of designers as key figures to facilitate the daily life of people.
Elisava students and professors participate in the sixth edition of Madrid Design Festival
Martín Azúa, professor of Product Design in the Degree in Design, will give a talk on Diseñando para un animal que habla (Designing for a talking animal), in which he will tell us how to learn from animals and plants, with which we share many vital needs, strategies for life and coexistence that help us to “resynchronize” with nature.
Laura Llimona, a 4th year student of the space mention of the Degree in Design, will present her proposal in the framework of Fiesta Design, which hosts the meeting between professionals, brands and audiences with experience in design, Ikea launches the Inspiring Talents project, which is divided into two phases between January 10th and February 26th. With the vision of trying to create a better life at home, Ikea tries to find new ways to try to find a solution to the housing problem among young people.
On the other hand, three Elisava students, Berta Albiac Adell, Queralt Font Sabadell and Albert Roca Nonell, participate in the exhibition Slow. Diseño lento para un cambio rápido, promoted by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC).
Elisava’s students are among the 17 design students from Spain selected to participate in the exhibition, who have been mentored by renowned designers. These young students have created innovative pieces that have been handcrafted in a carpentry workshop in Madrid.
