Elisava is hosting, on the next monday the 4th of July, the conference Related Strategies, by studio Allaround Lab. The talk’s central theme will revolve around the way in which the domestic space is organized directly influences the lives of its inhabitants. Architecture has an instrumental role in shaping everyday events and the very conception of society. For this reason, we propose to study the project mechanisms or the operational strategies that help formulating a new model of spatial organization of housing, trying to respond in a more appropriate way to the complex and changing reality in which we intervene.
Allaround Lab is a young studio between Barcelona and Madrid. Founded by Noelia de la Rad and Jordi Ribas, its been working since 2015 in areas such as architecture, interiorism and teaching with a cross-season that seeks to find the poetic work not as a goal but as a source of the process. Despite its brief career, Allaround Lab has already stood out with recognitions such as the First Premi de Mostres d’Arquitectura Catalana in the category of interiorism.
