cortos Somiar Coderch

Elisava, in collaboration with Institut français Barcelona, presents Somiar Coderch as part of the Setmanes d’Arquitectura festival. It is a collective film centered on the Coderch Building, main building of the Institut and work of the architect Josep Antoni Coderch. The project cinematically reconstructs the building through five short films that explore its different spaces, from the grounds to the roof.

The five short films are:

  1. LE RÉSIDENT – the roof of the building (artistic residency, top floor)
  2. TIC TAC – the body of the building (staircase and classrooms of the six floors)
  3. EL CABARET – the base of the building (auditorium)
  4. CODERCH – the roots of the building (car park)
  5. ENTRE LÍNEAS – collective story of the parts

The short films have been developed in this year’s Space and Cinema Workshop, as part of the subject ‘Visual Experimentation’ of the Bachelor in Design and Innovation (Mention in Space Design). The experience is part of the seventh edition of the Ateneu Generació Futura project.

Thanks to the art of cinema, the students have been able to share their visions, fears, desires and dreams, through these short films that aim to establish a dialogue between this space, citizens and institutions.
