The Most Beautiful Swiss Books 2025 visit Elisava once again. Every year, the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (FOC) recognizes outstanding achievements in editorial design through the competition The Most Beautiful Swiss Books, promoting excellence in Swiss publishing production.
In the 2025 edition, twenty books produced in 2024 were selected from 362 submissions, following the recommendation of an international jury chaired by Sereina Rothenberger and composed of Mathias Clottu, Julie Peeters, Tasheka Arceneaux-Sutton, and Marco Walser. The evaluation criteria focused on graphic and typographic design, print and binding quality, and the thoughtful selection of materials.
After traveling through several European cities, the touring exhibition arrived at Elisava under the title “Building Imaginaries, Crossing Narratives.” Students from the Master in Editorial Design and the Master in Ephemeral Architecture and Temporary Spaces designed the exhibition space and display system.
The exhibition opened on February 3 in a public event featuring Santiago Albert, Director of Master’s, Postgraduate and Lifelong Learning Programs, and Paolo Bezzola from the Consulate General of Switzerland.
