PRESENTATION
This workshop will offer the fashion and complements designer the chance to integrate the scientific and technological innovations applied to textile in their creations.

The course stimulates a projectual culture of design based on experimentation and research. The latest textile innovations will be revealed, and all their possible applications. Work will be done on the research and development of proposals based on smart textiles to find new opportunities for the fashion and making up industry.

The workshop will be led by Joan Fàbregas, one of the designers most appreciated for including textile technological innovation in his creative proposals, and standing out in the latest editions not only of the Cibeles parade, but also as a firm candidate to be the representative of a new generation of international designers.

GOALS

The mail goals of this programme are: 

- To integrate textile innovations in the fashion and complement design project.

- To give theoretical and practical knowledge on the new technologies and their application in fashion design.

- To come up to date in new trends in textile engineering to give value.

- To promote the participation of the students, who, when developing their own projects, will have the chance to build a working methodology that will show them how to develop garments and collections, starting not only with a creative notion, but with a specific parameter of functionality given by research.
