PRESENTATION
SolidWorks is a computer-aided design program, of a parametric type, which lets parts and overall works be modelled, obtaining the construction plans as well as the information needed for the production of a design.
In the lecture-workshop working sessions, the professor will combine the contents of the program with working case studies.
All students will have a computer with their own SolidWorks license throughout the course. The enrolment fee includes a program manual, which will be delivered to students during the course.
GOALS
This course must be considered as valuable complementary training, as students must master the different modules on the program handled in class and be able to create three-dimensional models of real pieces, to obtain sets of pieces, to rectify designed pieces when required and to execute plans for the proposed solutions.
Prior knowledge of computer aided design is recommended.
