PRESENTATION
Many are the designers who have long talked about the “social responsibility” of design, of the new role played by design which works for people and with people.
The course presents a social design founded on new platforms of exchange and development and goes beyond the mere protest to achieve solutions through design. Its action is intended to encourage activism and social debate, to provide new tools and spaces, and in turn to pose an implicit social concern that requires new languages to discuss subjects such as sustainability, recycling, consumism, the lack of resources, margination, real estate violence and immigration.
GOALS
The mail goals of this programme are:
- To know and understand the possibilities of design and its new role in solving social problems in impoverished countries and the so-called fourth world.
- To study the social responsibility of the world of design and the social-economic dimension of the work of the designer.
- To know and use a working methodology that reflects the different technological, cultural, economic, ethical and social factors necessary to solve a social problem through design.
