In the first trimester of the first year, ELISAVA provides students with the tools they need to acquire knowledge and have a realistic approach to their Bachelor’s degrees.

Our study plans include guided or tutored study in the student’s self-study process. Individually or in a group, students will receive 2.5 hours of guidance by teaching staff for every ECTS credit.

We supplement classroom teaching with conferences, round tables, exhibitions, visits, and events that consolidate the links between the various courses and the professional sector, at the same time as they strengthen the sense of belonging to the ELISAVA community.
 

12. Furthering the knowledge of languages

The training ELISAVA provides will enable students to tackle the new European structure of university studies with all the skills they need to be internationally mobile. At the end of their courses, students’ knowledge of languages and technical English will be stated in their European Diploma Supplement.

We make it possible for students to go on university exchanges with the best international schools. We have established agreements with over 50 centres in Europe, the United States, and Latin America. We participate in several exchange, cooperation, and research programmes with foreign academic institutions, such as the Cumulus Network and the Lifelong Learning Programme. We are members of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE), and we collaborate with the Council on International Educational Exchange.

We have multipurpose spaces and state-of-the-art rooms with the resources students need to complete their projects. We have various work spaces, such as the model workshop, advanced multimedia room, engineering laboratory, computer rooms equipped with latest generation MACs and PCs, photography laboratory and studio, common room, etc., and all our facilities have Wi-Fi access.
 

15. Library / Collection

We have the best library specialised in design in the country, which has a collection of over 9,000 copies specialised in various aspects of design, architecture and engineering, and it subscribes to over 100 journals.
 

16. Work placements with tutorial supervision

To help students gain professional skills and enter into the working world, they can choose to go on a work placement in companies and institutions in their fourth year. These placements are supervised and assessed constantly by a tutor, and they will be recorded in the European Diploma Supplement as the student’s curricular experience.
 

17. High labour market integration

ELISAVA is one of the university schools with the highest percentage of labour market integration of its students. It has its own job exchange open to all the students.
