Product representation. Rendering with Vray for Rhinoceros (Closed course)

Enrolled students in Master and Postgraduate’s programmes (M&P): 115 €. The third course and the following ones will have a price of 100 €. | Not enrolled in M&P: 260 € each course (Alumni Bold: 15 % discount).


Introduction / Intermediate


Photo-realistic rendering course for the product representation using the Vray rendering engine for Rhinoceros, as well as post-production processes of the image with Photoshop.

The course will have practice exercises for the student to acquire the basic necessary knowledge for the production of this kind of digital images.


Aimed at
For those students who are currently enrolled in one of the Masters or Postgraduates of ELISAVA, or that have been enrolled. Former students of ELISAVA can also enroll. Product designers, engineers, architects, interior designer, set designers, illustrators and other creatives.



Basic drawing and geometry knowledge.

Basic Rhinoceros knowledge.


To obtain the necessary technical knowledge of the tools and resources for the creation of an image that accurately conveys what we want to communicate.

The student will learn to analyze and choose the process that best adapts to the needs of the project in the creation of the image and to optimize the rendering times.

1. Introduction and Vray’s interface for Rhino.

2. Scene composition: 3D model, scenario, physical camera and lighting.

3. Optimization parameters for the rendering.

4. Rendering with Vray Express tools.

5. Materials and mappings.

6. Lighting types and their parameters.

7. HDRI environments.

8. Post-production and photomontage.

Teaching Staff


Product designer. Bachelor of Arts in Design - University of Southampton and studies in Industrial Design at ELISAVA. In the early 90s he partners with Gonzalo Milà, creating the studio Ines-Milà. On this period they developed ephemeral architecture and product projects. From 1997 he started to work and to collaborate with museography and exhibition companies. Currently, he has his own studio and combines product design with interior design and exhibition and cultural projects. Professor of the Degree in Design at ELISAVA.
