The Postgraduate Diploma in Product Development has provided me with a source of very varied and up-to-date knowledge about the world of industrial design, with a deeper and more technical feel of how things are really done, what processes are involved at each stage of the product, and how to make them professionally and with quality. Carrying out a project together with an actual prestigious business means that the quality of your work is at the same level as other relevant projects which have already been applied and manufactured. At both academic and professional levels, it has opened up many doors in the professional arena. I have acquired two great references through this course: a letter of recognition through the company Santa & Cole as a quality project and, above all, winning an international industrial design competition with LG Hausys, Hi-Macs Acrilyc stone, where a life-size prototype was manufactured and exhibited at the great 100% Design 2011 exhibition in London. And all this thanks to the support of the course directors.
