Testimonials

ELISAVA's Master Program has been a research and development lab in which I further developed my thought process within an international context. With the guidance of "real world" professionals we were able to find solutions to problems within a global approach. Listening to different design solutions from all corners of the world in a single classroom was in most cases an eye opener. I currently work as a shoe designer in NYC. I'm new to this industry but I felt confident from the beginning thanks to the final project with El Naturalista, who guided us through all their design process and gave us the opportunity to "dream a little".

The talks with industry professionals, classes ranging from the most creative to the purely technical, collaborative projects with large companies and the international environment in the classroom shaped me both personally and professionally.
One of the projects developed in the master’s degree opened the doors for me to start working in a toy company that offered me my first job as a designer and where I specialised in designing toys for girls. This job led me in 2011 to what until then had been a dream for me, to work as a product designer at the LEGO headquarters in Denmark.

Carrying out a project together with an actual prestigious business means that the quality of your work is at the same level as other relevant projects which have already been applied and manufactured. I have acquired two great references through this course: a letter of recognition through the company Santa & Cole as a quality project and, above all, winning an international industrial design competition with LG Hausys, Hi-Macs Acrilyc stone, where a life-size prototype was manufactured and exhibited at the great 100% Design 2011 exhibition in London.

Before coming to ELISAVA I studied product design in China. In the master’s degree I learned a lot and the teachers are very near and very professional. In the Postgraduate Diploma in Product Conceptualisation we have worked more freely, without limits. It is nicely complemented with the Postgraduate Diploma in Product Development, in which we have done many projects and some simulations with real companies.
