Introduction to BIM with Autodesk Revit
BIM (Building Information Modelling) is something more than modeling in 3D an architectonic project. It is a working methodology that helps coordinate and include all data of the building in a unique information source. The building is virtually built before taking it to the physical structure, anticipating the possible divergences when designing, where it is easier to give solutions. As a consequence, all project documentation is generated automatically and is always up to date: blueprints, measures, surfaces, etc. BIM is not the future of building design, it is the present, as the fact that most of the sector’s companies ask for Revit knowledge in their job offers and the Administration starts to require it on its documents.

To make the BIM methodology known for its common use in the labour market.

The course will be developed in 3 sessions, in which the following subjects will be developed:
- BIM basic concepts
- Approach to Revit interface
- Beginning of a project
- Basic structural elements
- Complex structural elements
- Visibility control and computer graphics
- Project documentation
- Surface works
- Introduction to families.

After working several years as an architect designer in the construction of the Sagrada Familia basilica in Barcelona, he joined the Modelical team, where he works as a BIM and parametric design consultant in international projects (airports, football fields, hospitals, metropolitan railways…).
