Infography is to visually communicate

This course is conceived as a complete teaching group of initiation to the two more advanced branches of the nowadays infography, and also as a first fundamental part to follow profitably the course VISUALIZATION II, which is a specific application to the fields of network, business and internet.


  • To learn the logic and functioning of the infography.
  • To learn multidisciplinary infographic languages.

Structure and Contents

Synergies of different worlds translated into visual give excellent results. Every professional (also designers, architects, engineers and others) frequently present their projects, memories, communications and proposals with a great data load, sometimes boundless and chaotic that could be more effective if the infographic criteria is applied, which become clearer, more direct and effective.

This course wants to suggest, guide, give guidelines and design the keys that allow these professionals to get familiar with infography and its tools as an effective resource to communicate in a more reachable way.

Teaching Staff


Journalist, infographist, historian and medievalist. He studied architecture at ETSAB. He was one of the people who introduced infographics into press in Spain. He created the Infographics Department and was the Chief Editor in El Periódico de Catalunya. He was also in charge of infographics at the Spanish stage of Le Monde Diplomatique and the RACC magazine, among other media. He is currently infographist of Gran Teatre del Liceu and of Tourism of Barcelona, among others. He has obtained more than 150 national and international awards, as well as the collective award for “The Best Newspaper Designed in Europe”, in 2008. He teaches in different universities, Masters and Postgraduates: Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), UVIC, Tecnocampus and BAU. In ELISAVA, he was a professor of infographics (for 11 years), illustration and final project.

He has been jury of the European Newspaper Awards, 2014 and 2016 editions.
