For the second consecutive year, ELISAVA contributes with the brand of sustainable fashion Uttopy, this time in support of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation for the research in the fight against Alzheimer.
The t-shirt collection, designed by the ELISAVA's student (Training Courses CIC) Cristina Fernández Cortés, is formed by t-shirts and accessories for kids, men and women that display the message 'Remember Me'. According to Cristina, it's "a reminder for the people affected by the disease, to let them know that we will always support them". The objective of the collection is to bring the cause to young people and to raise awareness about the importance of its prevention. Every piece of the collection will go with a list of good habits in order to prevent the disease, inviting the public to have a healthy lifestyle and diet.
The collection is available at Verkami, leader crowd funding platform in Spain, until the next 16 of June. The obtained funds will be destined to the Pasqual Maragall Foundation in order to keep boosting research in the fight against Alzheimer.
Uttopy and ELISAVA: a collective boost of solidarity fashion
For the second consecutive year, Uttopy and ELISAVA contribute to the creation of a solidarity fashion collection. Both institutions organize the Uttopy Challenge, an exclusive challenge for the students of the ELISAVA's Degree in Design and the Graphic Advertisement Education Cycle of the higher grade of the CIC-ELISAVA. Among all proposals received, an ELISAVA's jury selects six finalists. Consensually, a winner is selected by Uttopy and the NGO partner. Subsequently, Uttopy develops and commercializes the selected design.
