The research on design, at the exhibition 'Decoding: Zoom in Design'

At the end of February, the exhibition 'Decoding: Zoom in Design', organized by ELISAVA Research, the research department of our School, was inaugurated with great public success and can be visited at Arts Santa Mònica until April 16th (From Tuesday to Saturday, from 11am to 9pm. Sundays and public holidays, from 11am to 5pm. Closed on Mondays).

It is an exhibition in which the visitor gets to know the creative processes and competences related to design, as well as its methodological language through a physical itinerary. The visit to the exhibition turns into a creative process that everyone who goes to the room will experience in first person.

The narrative of the exhibiting space is presented through several research elements: the design ontology; the design process; the creative competences; the Master in Creative Process –which will be taught at ELISAVA and has been created in collaboration with ElBulliFoundation and Ferran Adrià–; design as the prime mover of disruptive technologies; and the capturing of what’s imperceptible. Finally, the exhibition complements with a series of projects of ELISAVA students that exemplify this methodology.

‘DECODING: Zoom in Design’ means another stretch in the research started by ELISAVA Research with the aim to dominate the scale and lens with which we measure and look at design and that will conclude with a big exhibition at the beginning of 2018 at Museu del Disseny de Barcelona.
