A group of students of the Engineering and Design of ELISAVA will participate in Barcelona Smart Moto Challenge with the project «Bruc01», made with students from the School of Industrial Engineering of Barcelona (ETSEIB).
The team made up by future engineers from ELISAVA and ETSEIB have developed their project in a record time of six months, and they presented it on July 8 at ETSEIB's Capella Room. From July 11, students will begin the competition and will overcome different static and dynamic tests of their prototype in the Campus del Motor of Castellolí. The last tests and awards cerimony, as well as a street circuit, will take place on July 14 at Paseo Sant Joan of Barcelona.
Barcelona Smart Moto Challenge has the purpose of promoting the academic development in technology where the participants have to conceptualise, design, create, and build an electric motorbike for urban circulation capable of communicating with the user by means of a mobile device in real time. In this challenge will participate teams representing seven universities from Barcelona, Madrid, Cartagena, Wroclaw (Poland) and Moscow (Russia).
