The Enric Bricall Library of ELISAVA welcomes the intervention 'Plants of Interior', sample of the publications of the Barcelona artist Francesc Ruiz, professor of the Master in Illustration and Comic of ELISAVA, who has turned the space into a particular greenhouse. With this objective, the artist has changed the covers of a thousand copies of his works -although in some cases they still have their original headers- by a selection of images of indoor plants that invade the hemeroteca, overlapping and even infiltrating the shelves, where they mix with the publications that are usually presented in them.
Thus, the covers of the magazines are transformed into vegetal foliage and end up configuring a huge greenhouse; Some magazines even escape from the shelves, adopting strange compositions and dialoguing with the natural plants that decorate the library. The result is a kind of garden d'hiver in the manner of Marcel Broodthaers, as the artist himself points out, a garden where to see, observe, read and meditate.
The activity is part of the exhibition 'Unusual Libraries' organized by Arts Santa Mònica.
